AREC Overview
The Associated Real Estate Council (AREC) represents Cornell
University students,
staff and faculty interested in the real estate industry. ARECs
goal is to develop and
promote Cornells contact with the real estate industry by hosting
guest lecturers,
promoting student research and organizing trips to industry seminars,
conferences
and current development projects.

Student Membership
There are currently forty plus student members in AREC.
Members are primarily
graduate students who represent three distinct areas within Cornell:
Cornell
Masters Program in Real Estate (MPS/RE)
Johnson Graduate
School of Management (MBA)
Statler
Hotel School (MMH)
College of Architecture,
Art, and Planning
AREC leverages the strengths and diversity of these programs by bringing
together the
experiences and ideas of its different members. Members are able to learn
from one
another, keep up to date on industry developments and create strong peer
networks.
